Port Classification

Just a name that you put on the NIC. It is an abstraction for the Port Profiles and it is similar to the Storage Classifications in the Fabric. Tenants (customers) can set port classification during creation of the VM and therefore you are able for example to have port profile with names Extra Low Bandwidth and Tier 2 and port classification with nicer names Bronze Bandwidth and Silver Bandwidth.

Naming conventions

You can read about my naming convention in the first networking article.

<Some string that you willing to show to your customers>
